5 militants Killed as forces foil infiltration
Two children-a 15 years old girl and a 10-year-old boy were killed and 12 persons injured on Monday in fresh ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops on the line in control in Poonch in the Pir Panchal Valley.
Five infiltrations were Killed in the Kashmir Valley in two separate operations. The shelling started around 6:30 a.m and continued till 11:30p.m. Most victims were hit by splinters of exploding mortars. While some were caught outside their houses, many were on the way to fields as the harvesting season at its peak. DC Poonch, Tariq Ahmed Zargar told.
The victim's mother and sister were also grievously injured in the shelling and airlifted to Jammu for treatment. Two more seriously injured persons were shifted to Jammu, Mr. Zargar.
Chief Minister Mehbboba Mufti said It's unfortunate these teenagers became victims f firepower when they yet to understand the nuances of politics.
Meanwhile, five infiltrations were killed on the LoC in north Kashmir in two separate operations, the police said.
Three unidentified militants were Killed in Tanghdar Sector, morning. A Defence spokesman said two others were Killed on the LoC in Rampur sector, Barat mulla.
