The army will help build a new foot overbridge at the Elphinstone Road station in Mumbai by January 31, said Maharastra chief Minister Devender Fadnavis on Tuesday, as he visited the site of the stampede, along with Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.

Mr. Fadnavis said the Army would also build two more foot overbridge at Curry Road and Ambivli stations.
Ms. Sitharaman said it was probably the "First Time that the army will help build what could otherwise be called civil work."
