Two separate attacks on the police and soldiers in Afghanistan left at least 71 dead and nearly 171 wounded on Tuesday in the Latest devasting assault on the country's beleaguered security forces.
The Taliban claimes the more deadly of the two assaults, coordinated attack on the police southeast city pf Gardens on Paktia province. As many as 41 people were killed and 158 injured in that assault.
