Envoy promises all support for them to attend Guru Nanak's birth anniversary

Pakistan will provide "all possible" support to pilgrims from India during the coming celebration of the 550th anniversary of Guru Nanak which falls in 2019.
During a meeting with a delegation led by Bhartiya Janata Party National Secretary R.P Singh, High commissioner of Pakistan Sohail Mahmood said Pakistan was committed to ensuring smooth pilgrims for citizens from India.
"The High Commissioner told the delegation that the Government Of Pakistan was fully cognizant of the importance of Baba Guru Nanak's 550th birth aiversary in 2019 and would extend all possible facilitation on that auspicious occasion. He added that the delegation's request in connection with the commemoration of 550th birth anniversary would be communicated to the relevant authorities in Pakistan," a statement issued by the High Commission of Pakistan said on Wednesday.
The Pakistan declaration came days after Islamabad allowed 2600 Indian pilgrims to visit Nankana Sahib to celebrate the annual festivities around the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak in Talwandi Sahib, Pakistan during November 2-11,2017.
